INDUSTRY:
The agricultural industry is mainly for domestic consumption and the main crops are tomatoes, water melons, wheat, potatoes, sorghum, coffee, cotton and grapes.
To attract new investment a Free Trade Zone has been established in Aden and the industrial infrastructure is in the process of being developed. The government is aiming to promote economic freedom and encourage the private sector.
